Hi, I’m Olivia Harjadi.
I obtained my Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education with a minor in Child, Adult, and Family Services at Iowa State University, and my Master’s in Counseling at Dallas Theological Seminary. Throughout my years of experience, I have developed specialties in working with individuals and couples. I work with women and men experiencing:
life transition concerns (pre/post college, break-ups, career change, new relationships, post partum)
high functioning anxiety, stress, overwhelm
complex relational trauma (church, family, friendship, romantic relationships)
relationship/marriage concerns
family-of-origin concerns
self esteem issues (identity, shame, unworthiness, codependency)
marriage enrichment, conflict resolution, and pre-marital counseling.
It would be my privilege to partner alongside you as you invest in a deeper healing within yourself and your relationships, and provide the safe space you need to heal towards a better hope.
You don’t need to have it all figured out! Come with your doubts, fears, and worries. All you need is a willingness to step into this process and I will meet you where you are. If you are searching for a place to do deep work towards thriving with purpose and healthy relationships, contact me today. You do not have to go through this alone, I am here to help!
My Approach
This is a general description of what my process looks like. We will personalize the process to your individualized counseling goals.
I. The “Digging” sessions
We are going to start by building context around the concerns that you have been experiencing, talking through both your past and your present. Through your life story, we will work together to understand how past painful experiences have shaped your present reality, and uncover beliefs about yourself and others that have formed as a result.
II. The “rebuilding” sessions
Now, with more understanding about how past experiences have shaped you, we get to talk through which parts of those changes you would like to keep and which ones you would like to rework. Freedom comes from having the level of self understanding that gives you the ability to choose how you would like to continue to operate within yourself and within relationships.
III. The “maintenance” sessions
This is where the rubber meets the road. We will walk through what it looks like to gradually implement these new choices you would like to make in your everyday life, giving yourself patience and grace along the way. We will check in with the parts of you that are still feeling resistant, and with compassion, and see if there is more for us to understand.
